Ritz Brits

It's called the Ritz for a reason.

About December 11, 2009

No one seems to be able to remember my name.  I was called Christie (my mom’s name) by most of my family growing up.  I was Bridgette for half of high school.  I have been told by several people that I look like a Melissa.  I got e-mails for Brandy at my old job.  I’m known as Tiffany at my new job.  The only people who get my name right are the mid-life cris-ers who call me Britney Spears to show me that they still watch MTV.  (Of all the celebrities in the world, why do I have to share a name with her?!)

My name is, in fact, Brittany.  I was christened “Ritz Brits” by my childhood best friend, which may be one of the more clever nicknames I’ve been given.  My other choices were Sky Poodle and Tookie Lunch.  (Don’t ask.)

That being said, my theme song is That’s Not My Name by The Ting Tings.   Its the kind of song that makes you want to get up and dance… and remember someone’s name.

They call me quiet girl, but I’m a riot… getting glammed up and sitting on the fence, now.

Well, I will always love getting glammed up, but I’m not sitting on the fence anymore.  I’m going to write about everything that moves me (which is usually fashion and music).  I love finding and (making everyone I know listen to my) new music, and devouring fashion magazines.  The mall is my natural habitat, so here I am to share it.
